Thomas Richard Webster was born October 14, 1944 in Fort Worth, Texas. He spent his childhood on his family farm and ranch in Ponder, Texas. After graduating from Ponder High School in 1962, Richard attended Tarleton State University and University of North Texas. Prior to finishing his degree, he enlisted in the U.S. Navy Seabees in 1966, where he served for four years. Soon after he returned home, he met and married the love of his life, Jacqulin Sue Gibson, on August 7, 1970. Together they raised two daughters. Richard spent his life farming and ranching alongside his father, and later his daughters, granddaughter, and grandsons. His passion for farming never faded; tending to his land up until his last breath.

To know Richard was to know his enormous love for his family, friends, farming, Jesus, and John Deere. Richard is preceded in death by his parents, Lucille and Troye Webster, and his wife, Jacqulin Webster. Richard leaves behind his daughter, Denise Parr & husband Mike Parr, his daughter Dixie Pellegrin & husband Dave Pellegrin, his granddaughter, Kara Parr & fiancé Andrew Staton, his grandson, Chris Parr & wife Joyce Parr, his grandson Aaron Parr & wife Janie Parr, his grandsons, Jordan Parr, Dylan Pellegrin, & Drew Pellegrin, four great grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren.

Richard had a servant's heart, contributing his time and effort to helping the people of his community. Richard was a member of the Ponder Volunteer Fire Department for 60+ years touching the lives of many. His love of the children of Ponder led him to follow in the footsteps of his father, serving as a member of the Ponder ISD School Board. He was a longstanding member of First Baptist Church of Ponder. In addition, he served on various other boards and committees including Denton County Farm Bureau and Denton Central Appraisal District AG Advisory Board. Richard's earth side legacy will be his love for helping others; even when it's inconvenient, difficult, or unwanted. His family asks that you carry on this legacy by extending compassion and help to those in need in your community.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be sent to the Ponder Volunteer Fire Department or First Baptist Church of Ponder.
