IN LOVING MEMORY OF
William "Chuck"
L. Scott
September 23, 1948 – April 3, 2023
William Lee "Chuck" Scott, 74, of Forestburg, Texas passed away on April 3, 2023, in Denton. He was born in Muenster, Texas to Frank and Roberta Scott on September 23, 1948.
Chuck grew up in Forestburg, Texas where he graduated high school in 1968. Chuck married his high school sweetheart Kaye Foster in July 1968 at the Church of Christ. After high school, Chuck attended Aircraft Mechanic School in Tulsa, Oklahoma. During his time in Tulsa, he and Kaye became parents to two sons, Willie and Chris. After his graduation from Aircraft Mechanic School, he worked at General Dynamics in Ft. Worth, Texas. Chuck and Kaye moved to Denton, Texas in 1974 where he worked as a Machinist at Brown and Sharp. He later worked at the City of Denton Electric Department for 10 years. In 1985 he went to work at Peterbilt Motors Maintenance Department in Denton, Texas where he was a stellar employee. He was very proud of never missing a days work for over 16 years. He retired from Peterbilt Motors in 2004 after 19 years of dedicated service. Chuck was a master mechanic, there was nothing he couldn't fix or fabricate. He had a passion for his family, hunting, fishing, cattle, and making or repairing any and everything. He liked tinkering with old tractors, old ford pickups, and cars. He liked chasing big mule deer and elk in the Colorado Mountains every fall and spent a lot of summer vacations chasing those "nasty little trout" as he called them, in the Rocky Mountain rivers. He loved going to the farm and working with his cattle. His greatest fulfillment came from starting his family with his sweetheart Kaye, she was the love of his life. He loved his sons Willie and Chris and their families and was so proud of his six grandchildren. He never missed a ball game and could always be counted on to take action shots with his 35mm camera.
He is survived by his wife, Kaye Scott of Forestburg, Texas, sons, Willie Scott and his wife Raquel of Aubrey, and Chris Scott and his wife Shelly of Sanger, grandchildren Bryce and wife Katie, Dustin, Augusta and husband Quin, Ryan and wife Holly, Miranda, Ross and Shyla and kids Grayson, Nevaeh, and Hazelee, great grandchildren Sawyer and Waylon.
